UK Farm trip, Kluang

UK Farm
a combination of farm and resort
the first time i heard about this place
is from my lecturer, Dr Lee
she said that kids nowadays are lack of the experience of the farm life
not like us, who used to hanging around with the wild life
enjoying the flora and fauna
the feel of the forest is great !!!
she found this farm and brought her kids to there
kinda enjoy as well

at the 2nd visit
finally able to enter into this place

as the UK farm is located at the most inside of the place
and there are a few farms before reaching it
strict security is needed
every vehicle has to be registered before entering the area

6 km to go ~

the road is full of stone
gonna drive slowly and carefully ~

finally ~

here we are ~

there are a few packages to be chosen

we chose Package B

RM 60 per adult 

include a recycle bag, goat grass, goat milk, ostrich grass (all for feeding)

there are something for tourists as well

goat milk ice-cream, goat milk muffin, passion fruit juice

and you can choose to ride on the carriage as well

but extra charge is needed

by that time we purchased the tickets
the bus just drove away
so we have to wait for the next bus
it's ok....we used the time to hanging around at nearby

i seriously felt so scare to take a photo with this lonely horse
i knew that its eyes had been covered
but still
when i stood beside it
it will move a bit >.<
i worried that it will accidentally kicked or knocked down me
but at last, still able to take photo with it
kinda weird, so i didn't post it out....hehe

at sheep challenge 捉羊场
each participant costs RM 5
each round spend 3 minutes
there will be 8 sheep in each round
the sheep will be changed in each 3 rounds
maximum 5 adults in a group

there are a group of students over there
they were trying to chase the sheeps
but seems like failed....
feel so pity for those sheeps
gonna run for their life....

it is RM 10/pax for 12 stems

at mini zoo
not much animals actually
that's why it is called mini zoo
can find turkey, chicken, goose, monkey, porcupine

beer garden...禁止不醉 ??

people can stay overnight there as well
so that there is a stage and BBQ house
for event and dinner purposes

we sit the bus together with a group of students from Singapore
and also a family

she said that UK farm has no related with United Kingdom
the 'UK' is the abbreviation of the boss name

1st station is feedstock processing factory 

the pretty female tour guide explained the ingredients and mixing process

the main ingredient is the 马草 

马草

the grass will be 'minced' using the machine in the small picture

it will then be mixed with another 2 ingredients 

to become the food for the goat

through the giant machine 

the machines to produce goat / sheep food

then

we were led to visit the goats and sheep

a small batch of the goat was released from a place
and run to drink the milk

can see the 2 goats from the left side ? LOL

i seriously have no idea what's wrong with this goat
is it too hot so it faints already??

after finish drinking
those goats will be brought back to a place again
naughty and hungry goat will try to eat the grass
hahaha

it's time for us to feed them with the grass

found this Merino sheep from Spain
its life span is around 12 years
feel pity for it as its sweat keep dropping down from its wool :(

so pity ~

next station is herbal farm

we redeemed a cup of herbal tea
made from the plants there
taste not bad anyway ~

ostrich park !!
tourists can feed the ostrich with 鸡仔草 by purchasing it there
we already have it included in our recycle beg ^^

i had to hold the grass tightly
and let the ostrich to pull it LOL

next stop is Jakun Village 土著村
once entering the place
we saw a tall house as shown at below
the tourists are allowed to have a visit in it
5 kids or 3 adults in a round

there is a gallery house

selling some accessories and souvenirs

the tour guide then introduced us the cage
that used to capture the animals
the cage that displayed there actually is just a sample
so is quite small

the orang asli then show us the way of 'blowing'
he blew the 'dart' through the pipe
the target is the balloon on the top of the tree

Tropical Arcade
some sort like rest station
selling food, drinks, clothes, toiletries, and etc

goat milk ice-cream, toiletries, coffee

right beside the tropical arcade is dormitory
for tourist to stay overnight
there are 2 types of dormitory
with air-conditional or with fan only
there is no bed inside
it is just mattress
and no partition to isolate the people
no privacy at all
so it is better to stay overnight with many friends
rather than with strangers @.@

strictly not allow the tourist to pluck the fruits there

everyone who purchased the package that include the milk
can redeem it now
a half bottle of milk

i bet that those goats must be very hungry
so excited to get the milk from us

after finish feeding the goat with the milk
the tour guide asked us whether want to witness with the scene of the goat/sheep running back to their home
not always have the good timing to meet with such scenario
most of the tourists willing to wait for it

the goat/sheep will be 'released' to the farm outside to eat the grass
different batch at different time
this time, they brought the goat/sheep to a further farm
so it took quite a long time for them to back here


each time
there will be a goat among them to be chosen as a leader
to lead all the goats to run back to their home
shepherd will guide them as well
to ensure they back to their own, right home
as sometimes the leader will back to the wrong house LOL

they will let another batch of goats to go out and having their grass

next, and also the last station
is the mushroom and vegetable farm

they even spend some thought in designing the counter at the entrance

we redeemed our food
salad, a za, juice

the taste is really delicious ~~

that's the end of the trip ~

we went back to the registration hall

and redeemed our food again

goat milk ice-cream and passion fruit juice tasted not bad

while the cup cake is just so-so only

i don't know that i have to say the goat/sheep here is having good or bad life
tourist will feed them with grass and milk
chasing them around at sheep challenge
but...
they will become the dishes for the tourists as well
kinda contradiction and pathetic

there is a corner to sell drinks and toiletries
there are a few flavor of drinks/coffee:
goat milk, white coffee, cappuccino, white coffee (no sugar), teh tarik, passion fruit juice

they also provide wedding shooting package
there are more than 200 pairs of couple taking this package

interested ?

if you take the overnight package
you will experience more activities
camp fire, DIY soap, DIY cake, sheep challenge, and so on
hope that i able to have an overnight trip at here :D

let's end with the horse eating the grass....haha :P

it's really a worth trip
even though it is hot and tired
but really enjoy it
