韩国餐 Dong Seoul

Batu Pahat is a small town
before I leave here and study at Kuala Lumpur few years ago
the variety of the restaurant are not that much

within these few years
the varieties of yum cha cafe and restaurant keep on increasing
even Black Ball, French cuisine, BBQ steamboat
also 'imported' in to here

i found this korean restaurant long time ago
but i have no time to here
as the time i back BP is quite short

using this continuous holidays
i got the chance to come here and try
kinda looking forward to it ~

the outer look of the restaurant, very easy to find it

the design of the restaurant is very simple
there is no any design or furnishings inside
the seats are in korean style
the customers have to take off their shoes beside the seats

the korean style seat

the menu

the chopsticks are different from the normal chopsticks that we used
they are very thin
quite not used to it, haha

the 'thin' chopsticks and spoon

there is no set meal here
we choose to have both BBQ and steamboat
we ordered 1 set of pork belly slice (五花肉)
and 1 set of pork spare rib (排骨) for BBQ
1 kimchi and pork steamboat
and also 1 Dduk boki (fried new year cake, 辣炒年糕)

as there is less customers when we ordered
so we get the food quite fast
there are more and more customers coming in
until the whole restaurant is full
not only friends come in group
there is also family as well

we are kinda surprised with the amount of side dishes that they served
as the korean cuisine that we tried at Bee Won, KL
there are only three side dishes
here, the waiters keep on serving the side dishes
like endless and no more space on our table anymore, LOL
maybe this should be the normal for korean cuisine
as i did not try other korean cuisine at KL
haha

side dishes

the way of BBQ is kinda special
they use charcoal for it
normally what we see is by using those electronic type

they will remove it at the end of it

using charcoal for BBQ

first time trying the dduk boki
nice to eat when it is hot

hot hot Dduk boki ~~ RM 20

how can we forget the hot and spicy kimchi soup in korean cuisine?
the soup still not spicy enough for me
maybe i used to eat very spicy food
haha
kimchi and pork steamboat RM 45

at the end of the meal
there is free dessert for us
the rice is like those on 米粩
and mix with sweet drink
the drink is concentrated and sweet
nice to drink :D

too nice to drink
forgot to take the picture :p

4 pax for RM 151.80
no charge for green tea, side dishes, dessert
seems like kinda worth of it

for every RM 100 spend
we will get a stamp
collect 5 stamps can redeem 1 free Dduk boki
currently, there is only available at Johor area
can be found at Skudai, Muar, Kluang, and Batu Pahat

for Batu Pahat branch
it is located at one more row of shoplot behind Carrefour
opposite the Blackball

have a try ~
