13rd November 2011, I joined the UTAR Trekathon 2011. Of course, organized by UTAR. It was held at Taman Botani Negara, Shah Alam, which previously was known as Taman Pertanian. This run involves all the UTAR campus from Klang Valley and Kampar. I went my 1st run with Ying Wei, and also her friend.

Early morning, I woke up at around 5am and prepared myself. 6am, Ying Wei came and picked her friend and I. We waited at campus cafeteria. Around 6.45am, all the participants and staffs departed from UTAR by UTAR bus. We reached the destination at around 8am. I was sleeping on the way to the destination, haha.

The run starts officially at 8.30am. It started with the female category. After 15 minutes, then only the male started to run. There was a girl run at front at the beginning, and she got the champion at the end.
In all the way of the run, there was some helpers guided the way to us. I think around 3 or 4km, there was a turning point for us to get the black ribbon and continue to run. Around 1km++ after that, there was a drinking station for the participants to have the Extra Joss drink or mineral water. The way to the drinking station is a slope! OMB! The slope is quite long!
Well, the slope is not long enough. There is another really long slope after the drinking station. It was like I cant finish the slope T^T. I found that after the drinking station, many people started to walk instead of running. Same as me.
Whenever I saw a sign on the tree attached with the Trekathon picture, I though it near the finishing line and I started to run. But, I was totally wrong!! It made me felt like endless run. At last, I saw a crowd of people in front of me!! It was the finishing line! RUN!!! Finally, I finished this 7.5 km run in 1 hr 15 minutes. All right, I know this is not a good result. But I will try to get a better result in my next run.

Well, it is a not bad experience as I was always wanted to go to the Taman Pertanian but no chance. At last, I able to go there, and even had my 1st run in my life. Looking forward to my next run. ^^
